Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa (TGRSA) has announced that it will field four crews, each driving the latest iteration of the GR Hilux IMT Evo, in the 2025 Dakar Rally.

The vehicle won top honours in the 2024 South African Rally-Raid Championship in the hands of Henk Lategan and Brett Cummings.

The line-up for the 2025 Dakar Rally sees three pairings making a return, with a slight change in the fourth crew.

Heading the line-up are Lategan and Cummings, followed by Guy Botterill and Dennis Murphy, with the duo of Saood Variawa and Francois Cazalet making a return to the Dakar.

Rounding out the TGRSA team, Dakar veteran Giniel de Villiers will reunite with his former co-driver, Dirk von Zitzewitz.

De Villiers and Von Zitzewitz claimed victory at the 2009 Dakar Rally.

The 2025 Dakar Rally will kick off on January 3 from Bisha, and conclude on January 17 in Shubaytah, in Saudi Arabia.
